About Me

Hi, I’m Adam, Welcome to AJ Photography!

So, a little bit about me. I’m a northern lad through and through, born in the “beautiful” town of Barrow-In-Furness, so, if anyone ever asks, I live near the Lake District. Im a big lover of the outdoors, hiking, paddle boarding, camping and I love to travel. In my eyes, we are here for a fun time, not a long time.

I’m super chilled, very down to earth, easy to get on with (so I’m told), always up for new adventures, never take myself or life to seriously and loves a bit of banter.

Where it all started

I’ve always loved photography, from landscape, to street photography. But, never ever did I think I would ever be-able to call it my full time job, but now I can which is a bit crazy. Me, how have I set up and ran my own business pretty much all by myself, it still baffles me to this day as if you asked people way back in school would run my own business, they’d laugh. But, I’m so greatfull and appreciative that this is my job.

Anyways… Living near the LakeDistrict, I’ve always done a lot of hiking which is where my photography started. I then went on to taking pictures of my family and friends, couples and now here I am, a full time wedding photographer.

What you'll get

Me!

From the moment you enquire with me I’m there to contact as much or as little as you need. It’s a big thing getting married with so much to plan and organise which can be a bit daunting. When trying to find the right suppliers for you can be a bit of a mine field as well. So I’m there to give my recommendations on other suppliers ive worked with (if you wanted it of course) and who I trust.

On the day I’m not just your photographer but your itinerary, your hurder to hurd up any strangling bridesmaids/best men, that guy to keep your granny or kids entertained, but also, the one to keep you all calm when there’s 30 minutes to go before you get married.

My style and ethos

On the day I want you all to feel I’m just a friend with a camera and just blend into your wedding. My approach on your day is very relaxed, not in your face, or telling you to do this, or do that but capturing your wedding as it’s happening.

Some of the best photos in life are the natural ones where no one knows I’m taking a picture. I want you to get your photos back and they capture exactly how you both were in that moment, so if you’re silly together with plenty of banter, then I want those pictures to be silly which represent your relationship and not just look like you’ve been on a photo shoot.
